Gualapack has been featured in an in-depth article on **Sustainable Packaging News**, one of the most authoritative voices in the sustainable packaging sector worldwide.

The article explores how monomaterial packaging is becoming a fundamental pillar for realizing circular economy principles, highlighting our concrete commitment to eco-sustainable innovation.

The publication dedicated significant space to **Pouch5®**, our flagship [monomaterial pouch ](https://gualapack.com/recyclable-pouches?hsLang=en)made entirely of polypropylene (PP). According to LCA studies presented in our 2024 report, Pouch5® reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 39% compared to traditional multi-layer solutions composed of PET, aluminum, and polyamide.

But innovation doesn't stop there. The article also highlights **InnowebMONO™**, our polypropylene-based [laminate for tubes](https://gualapack.com/it/news/recyclable-tube-laminates-solutions-by-gualapack?hsLang=en) designed for the personal care sector, which can be recycled alongside rigid PP streams.

Additionally, our new [tethered caps](https://gualapack.com/it/news/tethered-cap-for-spouted-pouches?hsLang=en), compliant with the EU Single Use Plastics Directive, ensure components remain attached during use, reducing litter and improving collection rates.

A significant figure highlighted in the article: in 2024, 24.3% of Gualapack's global sales come from sustainable products, representing an 11% increase from the previous year. This growth demonstrates not only our commitment but also the increasing trust of brands and consumers in more responsible packaging solutions.

As emphasized by Sustainable Packaging News, our monomaterial solutions represent a concrete response to environmental challenges and evolving regulatory requirements, including the new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) taking effect from 2026.
